car wiring chewed up photo

Here at KG Truck & Auto in Glen Burnie we often do diagnostics and sometimes the problem is obvious after hooking the car up to the computer and reading the codes.  However, sometimes it isn't obvious during a test drive or after hooking it up to all those computer programs!  You know there is a problem and a Check Engine Light is on with the fleet customer telling you the car has been having issues starting and the light has been going off and on depending on several factors.  No pattern, no simple answer but the problem becomes obvious when you start following the "threads of the issue" thanks to all that ASE Technician training.

These wires have been chewed up and are disconnected causing the disruption.  They are not part of the main operating system thus the problem is not continuous and allowed for the driver to continue his work until his scheduled service visit.  The real question becomes how and where plus by what?

In most cases these types of issues are from rodents who have nests within the vehicle or nearby out for a jaunt looking for housing supplies.  We did a search of the vehicle to ensure there were no "extra" passengers and went on to finish their automotive service repairs, tuneup and sent them back to their fleet route!  Here at KG Truck & Auto in Glen Burnie we work hard to get you back on the road quickly and efficiently using all the tools at our disposal and when modern technology doesn't work in some circumstances, we use American ingenuity!  No effort is too good for our fleet customers or our fantastic everyday customers who rely on us to take care of their household cars, trucks, suv's, vans or diesel vehicles!  Here, it is all in a day's work.
